Welsh football superstar Gareth Bale is considering a move to his hometown of Cardiff.
A spokesman for the 32-year-old confirmed negotiations with the second division Cardiff City to the BBC.
The once most expensive player in the world is currently weighing the advantages and disadvantages of a transfer to City with a view to the World Cup in Qatar, it said.
Cardiff finished 18th in the Championship last season.
Bale switched from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid nine years ago for a fee of 100 million euros.
The striker's contract with the Champions League winners expires on June 30th.
Recently there was even speculation about the end of the star player's career, but after the Welsh World Cup qualification Bale obviously wants to continue in any case.
