At least one person was killed in a shooting today at Grambling State University in the southern US state of Louisiana.
"Several shots were fired today, killing one person and wounding others, including a student," university spokeswoman Tisha Arnold told CNN.
The spokeswoman indicated that the identity of the attacker was not determined, while the police opened an investigation and the university canceled all activities and classes for tomorrow, Monday.
A policeman was killed and two others were wounded yesterday in a shooting in the US state of Texas.
Shooting incidents are common in the United States with the spread of a culture of violence in American society and the right to own a single gun.
