Opinion The Likud list - all talk Israel today

2022-08-14T23:58:01.512Z

The discourse of the right-wing Likud is a discourse that helps Netanyahu and his list to gain legitimacy from right-wing voters who wish to promote a right-wing agenda.

What has not been said about the Likud list for the Knesset: populist, extreme, anti-state, far from the Begin path, and of course - very, very right-wing.

More and more discussions about how right-wing the list is: is it too right-wing?

Is it an own goal for Likud and Netanyahu that she is so right-wing?

Will the "soft right" people be smuggled out because it is so right-wing?

So here is a different view: all this talk about "how right-wing the list is", all this "astonishment" that the Likud has never been so right-wing", are the best thing that is happening now to the Likud and to Netanyahu himself (who on the anniversary of the disengagement plan, which has just passed , escaped being marked as the one who enabled its approval with his support).

If you examine the list, you find that it is a party that mainly knows how to abuse the law and justice systems, and that pretends to be Begin's party on the eve of the revolution - an opposition party that has never formulated a policy.

But what is my right name?

The first group of the new upgraders are center-left people.

Their positions on settlement and security issues, if they exist at all, should not differ from those of Lapid-Ganz.

Eli Cohen and Yoav Galant (who came from the Kulanu party), Nir Barkat and Avi Dichter (from the Kadima party) and also Regev (who eventually joined Likud) will not recognize Ali Zahav or Kida on the map.

This is not the list that will stand on ideological guard against future bold policy plans.

A second group is the "New Rightists" - "Netanyahu's studios".

Proven right-handed achievements?

Amir Ohana held the executive position of Minister of Internal Security.

Did the state of Israel's internal security - leave Israel, the Negev: the level of policing, the collection of illegal weapons, the commitment to handling the issue of protection or any other issue in the Negev - become significant during its functioning?

Did the residents of the south feel that you heard that the issue of law and order, sovereignty, classic "right-wing" issues came to his office, his predecessor?

Did Ohana get up every morning and "knock on the table" to send more and more troops to the south?

Or did he do it so that he would be granted more screen time to make it clear how "new right" he is that is not afraid of the elites?

Lots of talk, zero action.

So is Yariv Levin, another of Netanyahu's media bodyguards who is now labeled as the right-wing and dangerous face of the new Likud.

But wait: Is there a reason to build and settle in Ma'ale Levin?

Is there one right-wing person who knows how to teach about a reform, law, settlement, or one right-wing achievement that Levin promoted?

Initiatives that threaten the legal hegemony were blocked by the Netanyahu-Aharon Barak axis, and in other areas?

Nada

The right-wing and anti-state Likud discourse is a discourse that helps Netanyahu and his list gain legitimacy from right-wing voters who wish to promote a right-wing agenda, but in practice will vote for the "all talk" list.

A protest party that during its reign did not promote a national policy, and only knew how to insult elite leaders in the media and defend a leader in legal trouble.

Establishment of settlements?

Promoting a free economy?

Implementation of actual sovereignty?

Who cares about it there?

Is this a dangerous right-wing?

This is mostly wasted right wing.
