An incredible conspiracy theory has been haunting the United States for years.

Prince Charles and Diana are said to have a daughter in addition to sons William and Harry.

London – The "secret granddaughter" Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022) is the daughter of King Charles III.

(73) and his first wife Princess Diana (36, † 1997).

Her name is Sarah and she lives incognito in a small town in New England, United States.

Prince William (40) is not his mother's first child, which would mess up the succession to the throne if there were any truth to the theory, for which there is no evidence.

Nevertheless, she has been persistent since the second pregnancy of today's Princess of Wales, William's wife Kate Middleton (40).

The British royal family would not have wanted to leave the succession to chance, they say

Lady Diana Spencer, then 19, was ordered by Queen Elizabeth in December 1980 to undergo gynecological tests to determine if she would be able to bear children before her engagement to the heir apparent was to be announced.

For this purpose, Diana's egg cells were removed and successfully fertilized with Prince Charles' sperm.

After that, the egg cells should have been destroyed, but the doctor implanted the embryo in his own wife, who would have given birth to a daughter.

The already crazy story continues: The surrogate mother of Charles and Diana's biological child was not in the know.

The baby girl was born in October 1981, ten weeks after Charles and Diana's dream wedding on July 29 of the same year and eight months before William's own birth on June 21, 1982, in the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington .

Globe Magazine, an American tabloid, carried the story on a cover on December 29, 2014, but was wrong in saying that Prince William's position as the future King William V was never in jeopardy due to the current legal situation.

The Succession to the Crown Act 2013, which changed long-standing rules of succession to allow the eldest child to inherit regardless of sex, received royal assent in April.

However, the law only applies retrospectively to people born after October 28, 2011, the year it was first introduced.

Does the tasteless theory pass the fact check?

As with all myths, due to the scarce facts surrounding Lady Di's horrible accidental death, there are unfortunately many fantasies.

Diana says she underwent a gynecological exam before she got engaged to Charles.

"I had to get a physical before I could marry him," she told confidant Elsa Bowker, who had been friends with the then Princess of Wales since 1992 but died in 2000.

The doctor treating you can also be determined with a fair degree of certainty.

The late Sir George Pinker (82, † 2007) was the surgeon and gynecologist of the royal family.

The trail goes nowhere.

What remains is a fiction novel that was self-published by a New York businesswoman in 2011 and whose plot has since become independent.

One can also confidently assume that a DNA test is easy for a royal family that supposedly also checks the childbearing potential of a future queen.
