A-Genre Festival

The Tmuna Theater's a-genre festival celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The festival will present a rich program full of premieres that includes a series of performances, installations, sound works, video and music.

The theme of this year's festival is operating instructions.

Among the artists who will participate in the festival: Nava Zuckerman, Dalia Shimko, Renana Raz, Yonatan Levy, Sara Siegel, Yair Vardi, Mor Shani, and more and more.

Musrara Mix Festival 2021

The Art and Music Festival, held in the Musrara Stitch neighborhood in Jerusalem since 2000 at the initiative and production of the Musrara School of Art and Society, will be held in two parts this year with the first part taking place on Hanukkah in the school's historic building and Canada House with live art and interactive performance.

The second part will take place at the end of May, when the festival returns to normal.

Jewish Film Festival

This year, the Jewish Film Festival returns to its original scope and will be physically held in the cinematheque halls of Jerusalem and will include a variety of films by Jewish artists or those that deal with Jewish characters. In addition, the program will include meetings with creators and actors, events, special screenings, lectures, panels, award-winning film competitions, live music performances and more. The festival's guest of honor is the renowned French philosopher, Bernard-Henri Levy, in which his new documentary "Near and Far" will be screened, which deals with his travels around the world, conflicts and human rights. The festival will open this year with the film "Game of Kings", a cinematic adaptation of Stefan Zweig's book, "Noble Chess". Other films to be screened at the festival: "Radiant Girl" which tells the story of the adolescence of a Jewish girl in Paris in the 1940s, "Rose" by Orly dined on a new Jewish widow who begins her life anew, "Evolution" by Cornell Mondrozzo that unfolds the development of Holocaust memory - Generation. "Charlotte ", an animated film that tells the story of the German-Jewish artist Charlotte Salomon who perished in Auschwitz, and more and more.

La Traviata

The Jerusalem Opera celebrates a decade and raises "La Traviata" by Vardi.

The opera will be performed in a concert performance with an extensive cast of singers from Israel and abroad and with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra conducted by Omar Arieli.

"Bridges for Time"

The 21-22 dance series at the Israeli Opera, opens with a visit by the Czech National Ballet in a tribute to one of the most important choreographers of our generation and a native of the Czech Republic, Jerzy Killian, who celebrated 50 years of work last year.

In the BRIDGES OF TIME show, the band will perform four selected pieces that reflect Killian's choreographic voice: "Beautiful Character" - Bella Figura, "Gods & Dogs" - Gods & Dogs, "Tiny Death" - Petite Mort, and "6 Dances" - Sechs Tänze.

"A walk in the forest"

An event of multidisciplinary art and live music that takes place in the ecological community of Shadama in Moshav Shdema, and is essentially a musical procession that moves along the natural space of the forest, turning it into a parallel universe with sculptures, exhibits and musical instruments hidden among the trees and shrubs.

Artists-musicians Dodik Oppenheim and Shaul Cohen produce a ceremonial and mesmerizing march, which begins in daylight and ends with the setting of the sun.

Artistic and technical management: Dr. Musfir, Uri Milman, Omar Messinger.

One of the great art evenings of the year is back.

For those unfamiliar, this is an art event that brings together artists, animators, photographers, industrial designers, graphic designers, thinkers, dancers, musicians on one stage with each performer having 6 minutes and 40 seconds to express themselves on stage.

During the evening, nine artists will come from different and varied fields, all of whom have in common an original work.

Some will speak, some will sing, some will move.

Curators: Itai Mautner and Anat Safran.

Omri Engel

Comedian and musician Omri Engel is known to the general public for his viral videos and work with Roi Kafri - as well as being the first to make an oriental string of Beatles songs.

Engel is coming to visit from New York as part of a special evening on the VESPERR stage.
