Occupied Jerusalem - SANA

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on the international community to take a firm stance to end the Israeli occupation and settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories, and to realize the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is the right to self-determination, the return of refugees to their homes, and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that "the Palestinian people have paid a heavy price as a result of the continuation of the crimes of the occupation, the deepening and expansion of settlements and the policy of double standards followed by the Security Council in dealing with international issues at the expense of the rights of the Palestinians."

The Foreign Ministry condemned the brutal repression and bloody abuse perpetrated by the occupation forces against the Palestinians participating in the demonstrations rejecting settlements and theft of Palestinian land and the settlers' continuous attacks against the Palestinian people and their villages and towns.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that the silence of the international community about the crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians and the failure to implement United Nations resolutions on the Palestinian issue encourages the occupation to persist in its arbitrary and racist practices.
