A Palestinian was killed late Tuesday evening July 27 by Israeli gunfire at the entrance to a town in the occupied West Bank, the scene of clashes between demonstrators and Israeli forces for several weeks, Palestinian officials said.

Shadi Omar Lotfi Salim, 41, was
"shot dead"
near Beita, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
Contacted by AFP, the Israeli army confirmed having opened fire at a Palestinian in this area.
