The Paraguay River has a historically low level due to the extreme drought that does not give up and the shipping sector suffers the consequences.

Paraguay woke up this Thursday with a historic low level in one of its main rivers.

The extreme drought continues unabated and the shipping sector suffers the consequences: vessels can only carry up to 40% of their capacity by weight.

The landlocked country has the third largest river fleet in the world.
