Until mid-September, future students without a proposal can once again submit admission requests in Parcoursup via the ph

Even on Parcoursup, nothing is ever really lost.

If you have not received any admission offer at the end of the main phase of admission to higher education, if all your wishes are pending, or even if you completely forgot to register on Parcoursup in March , you can again register wishes on the higher education admission platform from this Thursday, June 23, and until September 16.

The principle is simple: training courses that have not yet filled up with students submit their vacant places online, via the training directory.

Do not think that the remaining places concern training without interest.

Certainly the most selective and the most requested are no longer accessible, but there are still many interesting and quality orientation options.

In other words: you can very well succeed in your studies and your life without having done khâgne at Henri IV or Sciences-po Paris, provided you react now.

Selective and non-selective training

This principle established, go to your online file, or directly to the Parcoursup training directory, which will now be updated over time until the end of the additional phase on September 16.

Every day, new places can be added: establishments must indeed wait for the answers of the candidates they have put on the waiting list to find out if they have places to fill, or not.

On this first day of the complementary phase, 5300 training courses were already offered, non-selective but also selective.

This Thursday, for example, there were 513 places left in BTS in Occitanie, 107 places in preparatory class in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, or even 68 places in BUT in Paris.

In total, 5,300 training courses are open this Thursday.

20 wishes maximum with learning

During the complementary phase, you can make up to 10 wishes, in addition to your pending wishes, but there are no more sub-wishes.

You can add up to 10 additional wishes for apprenticeships.

You cannot reformulate a wish in a course that has already refused you, but you can apply again in the establishment that offers it, in another course.

Similarly, if you had expressed a wish for a group of schools (engineering or business), but you have not received a proposal from your favorite schools, it is always possible to request a place in the others. schools if they offer places in the complementary procedure.

But be careful: the deadlines for responding to proposals from establishments are now shorter, and if establishments generally take a week to respond to requests, you may very well have an answer to wishes formulated this Thursday as of next Monday - you will then be notified by SMS and messaging, as in the main phase.

For proposals received between June 24 and August 23 you have two days to respond, for proposals received between August 24 and September 16 the response time falls to 1 day.

In 2021, according to figures from the Ministry of Higher Education, 82,000 candidates received an admission offer via the complementary procedure.

Please note:

the main phase of Parcoursup continues until July 15 in parallel with the complementary phase, but the rules for maintaining wishes still pending at the end of the main phase have changed, according to a decree published this Thursday in the Official Journal. .

The stage point at the beginning of July which allowed candidates to confirm their wishes on the waiting list has been removed;

more information to come.
