So that the swimming pool in Kirchseeon is more profitable, the municipality would like to offer additional swimming courses.

But another offer has to give way.

Kirchseeon - The waves are racing in the dispute about usage times in the Kirchseeon indoor swimming pool. Mayor Jan Paeplow (CSU) has now announced in the market town council that he intends to use the communal facility more widely in the future. Among other things, the Moosach / Steinsee water rescue service is to be brought on board as a provider of swimming courses. At the same time, however, an online petition is running on the Internet demanding that Jürgen Puls from the swimming school of the same name be able to continue his previous courses in the indoor pool.

But the mayor does not want that to the full extent.

In announcements, Paeplow said at the meeting of the local council that he was planning a broader orientation for the bathroom.

It is also about looking at the offers.

One keyword here: swimming courses.

The need is high.

In addition, one is in conversation with the water rescue service.

Schools and daycare centers should also use the bathroom.

Paeplow also emphasizes that the Kirchseeon community has to bear an annual deficit of 200,000 to 300,000 euros because of the pool.

From this, the mayor deduces that if the municipality pays so much, Kirchseeon residents should also primarily benefit from the facility.

The online petition says that Jürgen Puls' open swimming lesson in Bad Kirchseeon has been offering children the opportunity to consolidate and develop their swimming skills for years. Since the swimming clubs in the area have long waiting lists, this is the only way for many children to practice swimming regularly after the seahorse and to become safe swimmers. Pulse is valued and needed as a passionate swimming instructor and is "irreplaceable for our children", says the petition. Around 300 supporter signatures have come together under the title "Mr. Paeplow, let our children continue to practice swimming under the guidance of Jürgen Puls."

After the summer break, the parents were surprisingly informed by Puls that the open swimming lesson would no longer take place until further notice.

The mayor no longer provides the swimming pool.

The reasons are not known.

“We did not respond to corresponding inquiries by e-mail,” it says on the web.

Use of the indoor pool: Mayor Paeplow wants to expand the range of the swimming pool

The mayor rejects this accusation.

He has already replied to emails, says Paeplow.

“With the last inquiries, I wanted to wait and see how the courses were developed.” The answer now comes with new insights.

A comment on the petition is being prepared.

He can support large parts, especially when it comes to the need for swimming lessons.

The mayor confirms that there is another provider in the municipal indoor swimming pool with the company "Markus Bauer Sport".

This means that the offer is broader and is not limited to a swimming school.

Up until now, Bauer had used the indoor swimming pool of the vocational promotion organization.

Since this is not yet available, it has been agreed that the courses from “Markus Bauer Sport” will be offered “in our indoor pool” in the future.

Paeplow referred to

on other users in the facility, from the ATSV to the VHS to clubs.

Extended use of the indoor pool: does the population have to suffer?

The question arises whether this leaves enough time for the population.

The plan is to be able to offer as many additional courses as possible and not have to shorten the times of free swimming, says Paeplow.

The classes would take place outside of free swimming on Saturday and Sunday.

Jürgen Puls himself, who lives in Kirchseeon, was apparently surprised by the development.

On

Question about a possible reason, he said: "I can not say.

I don't know either. ”His baby swimming offer will take place in Kirchseeon until further notice.

There will probably be another conversation with the town hall, said Puls.

He does not comment on the petition.
