In Paris, seven young people placed in police custody for contempt and violence against police officers from the police station of the 19th arrondissement request the

Imbroglio around seven arrests by the police on the night of Friday to Saturday, rue de l'Encheval, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. According to our information, several lawyers have just asked the Paris public prosecutor's office for the divestiture of the central police station of the 19th century responsible for investigating violence committed against several of its agents responsible for public authority. Me Camille Vannier, Me Raphaël Kempf and Me Alice Becker consider that their clients have themselves been victims of violence, threats and acts of intimidation by these same agents, at the scene of the dispute but also within it from the police station, while in police custody.

The lawyers say they want to file a complaint to that effect tomorrow morning before the IGPN. However, five of their clients are summoned to tomorrow's police station tomorrow for an extension of police custody. "Investigations that would not be done in conditions of serenity and objectivity allowing to respect the principle of equity", write the lawyers to the public prosecutor of Paris. Clearly their clients will not go to their summons but will go to the police. A first…

Two versions compete

Back on the facts where two versions clash. On July 11, around 2 a.m., a crew of the police station of the 19th century was called by local residents on a nighttime noise caused by a party in an apartment. According to the police version, the agents come across forty young "drunkards" in the common parts of the building.

Things quickly degenerate. On the police side, it is explained that a couple is arrested but that the young woman manages to get rid of her handcuffs and return to the apartment. Party-goers version, one evokes a violent brawl opposing young people and police officers who would have overflowed in the street and caused wounded at the first. One of them was said to have had a broken wrist, another with a bloody face.

The revelers manage to return to the apartment, police reinforcements are called, the parquet floor warned. "We were all in shock, completely paralyzed inside the apartment, we dared not go out," said a young girl, contacted. On the police side, we make the crane foot in front of the door. A tenant of the festive apartment who tries an outing to parley is immediately arrested, then, later, six other people. These, suspected of contempt and violence against the police, were taken to the 19th century police station and placed in police custody. Late at night the police headquarters cracked up a tweet in support of the police. “That night, while they were intervening on a nocturnal noise, the local police were attacked by several dozen partygoers (….) Very quickly, however, two police officers were released for a procedural defect and reconvened on Monday, like two other comrades also summoned on Monday. Another is put out with a call to law, a last one is released without prosecution. And two others still called this Monday. One of them, defended by Me Raphaël Kempf, claims to have been struck during his police custody and evokes a fracture of the brow bone. He would have a certificate from one of the police. The lawyers denounce a new scandal of police violence and claim to have videos as evidence.
