Butcher, restaurateur and drug dealer?
Abderrahmane was indicted on Friday in Paris for drug trafficking, criminal association and money laundering before being imprisoned.
He is suspected of being the manager of a Parisian drug call center which would have brought him hundreds of thousands of euros.
This 25-year-old dark-haired young man was arrested at the beginning of last week along with nine other suspects.
This affair began several months ago when the police arrested two young people in Créteil (Val-de-Marne) in full delivery.
The investigators understand that they work for a cannabis and cocaine delivery network whose activities extend to Paris and its entire suburbs.
The officials identify the boss of the network and place him under surveillance.
His vehicle has a sound system and his actions and gestures are closely monitored.
"This young man is the manager of the structure and derives a lot of income from this activity", according to a source close to the case.
At the beginning of last week, over several days, the police arrested ten suspected traffickers: delivery men, switchboard operators and the manager at his Parisian home in the 18th arrondissement.
Designated by another, he does not understand
Abderrahmane is placed in police custody and during his hearings spontaneously assures that he does not understand why he was arrested because he is the manager of three well-established companies.
But at least one of his alleged accomplices did not hesitate to designate him as his boss.
During the search carried out at his home, the agents only got their hands on 2040 euros in cash which would correspond to the recipe for his restaurant.
“He is designated as the traffic manager, it is not the reading that I have of this file, notes his adviser Me Clara Auffret.
Most of the charges are based solely on telephone interceptions and public address systems.
The investigators estimate, by proceeding by deduction, that he would have earned 300,000 euros by trafficking, which remains to be proven”.
His client's criminal record bears a mention related to narcotics which dates from 2016. "But it is a use and possession of drugs which earned him a small suspended sentence", adds the lawyer.
In this case the investigating judge must still question and confront the suspects on the merits and the suppliers of the narcotics have not been identified.
