Three old-fashioned burglars, aged 42 to 54, were presented this Thursday before the Paris Criminal Court, which decided to refer this case to July 25 before the 16th chamber.

Tony M. and Aissa O. were imprisoned and the last was placed under judicial supervision.

The three men are suspected of having committed a series of five burglaries between April and May in Paris and Montrouge (Hauts-de-Seine) for damage of around 400,000 euros in watches, jewelry and leather goods. .

After having engaged in meticulous scouting in opulent buildings and having carried out multiple checks, the criminals attacked the locks.

Equipped with his “umbrella”, a kind of hook, Tony M. was quick to force them, but always gently.

"There was never a trace of break-in on the lock," says a source close to the case.

Once inside the lodgings, they searched the premises quickly but without disturbing anything.

They grabbed the jewels before going out.

Already condemned for 40 burglaries in the beautiful neighborhoods

The three men were arrested on Tuesday in Paris for the oldest and… in a remand center for the other two, already in pre-trial detention for identical facts.

Left in the courtroom box, gray hair and square face, Tony M. knows the music.

This 42-year-old man, originally from the community of travelers in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis), is one of the few thugs in the Paris region able to open doors with an umbrella.

This tool used by locksmiths allows doors to be opened smoothly without leaving any signs of break-in.

During his custody, he did not let go.

At his side, glasses and salt-and-pepper hair, Aissa O. has been convicted four times of theft, kidnapping and forcible confinement.

This father, unemployed and depressed, asks for better follow-up in prison.

The third is 54 years old, bald and mustachioed, his record is heavy with fourteen convictions.

He works as a waiter in a brewery but also suffers from significant psychological problems which allow him to receive a disabled adult allowance.

"I was not a good boy but I have no blood on my hands," he breathes.

The 50-year-old contests the facts attributed to him.
