Dachau / Karlsfeld -

A 48-year-old man from Karlsfeld is said to have molested his girlfriend's daughter, who was eleven or twelve years old, years ago.

He is accused of sexual abuse of children as well as inconsistent people.

The young woman only revealed herself to the police three years ago.

The trial at the Dachau District Court began yesterday.

For many years, the now 19-year-old bakery employee carried the events around with her on that summer night. Because she “couldn't finish” that, she went to the police. She was eleven or twelve, she no longer knows exactly, because her mother's friend approached her while she was sleeping, she told the investigators. He reached under the covers and in her panties and touched her genital area. That was in 2018. Yesterday, the mother's friend was tried in the Dachau district court. The accusation: sexual abuse of children and sexual abuse of people who are incapable of resistance.

In the main hearing, the defendant, today 48, let it be known through his lawyer that “he denies the allegations”. At first he did not want to express himself. So the chairman, magistrate Christian Calame, had to take the evidence. To do this, he played a video recording in the courtroom of the judicial interrogation of the now 19-year-old. In it, the young woman commented slowly on the night of the crime. Again and again she took long breaks. And of course, after such a long time, she had gaps in her memory.

She stayed with her mother and her three siblings in the Karlsfeld one-room apartment of the defendant, who is of Turkish origin. At that time she was probably in the sixth grade. And yes, it was "developed very early", she said when asked by the interrogating judge. The adults slept in one bed, the four children on mattresses or on a couch. At some point she “felt his hand in the genital area”. Everything took five minutes. Probably, she said into the camera, “I pushed my hand away”.

Her mother's statement after the incident was disturbing for her. "My mother said it was my fault, she said that to me," said the 19-year-old. The young woman has had no contact with the mother for years. Not even the defendant. There was no further attack. The mother's relationship with the accused is also long history. Nobody noticed anything later, said the 19-year-old, "but it was inside of me".

The circumstances in which she had lived at the time became clear from the video and from the information that the key witness had given the police. The family's apartment was in Grafing near Munich. Her birth father was "kicked out" by her mother many years ago. "There was a different guy there every day," she said. "I ran away from home, but the police brought me back." A lot went wrong with my mother. The mother simply "screwed up".

When the video ended and the statements were read in front of the police, Judge Calame addressed the defendant.

There is a "very large penalty" for the offense in the room, he said.

A confession is therefore "worth a lot".

Calame then interrupted the session so that the defendant could consult with his lawyer.

After the short break, however, the defendant stuck: "It was nothing, nothing at all!"

However, there was no judgment.

The mother could not be summoned to the main hearing in time.

The process was interrupted.

At another appointment in early November, the mother is to be heard.

The woman now lives in Stadtsteinach in Upper Franconia.

Far from their children.

She took on a different name.
