According to media reports, Patricia Schlesinger wants to resign as RBB director.
She offers the station's broadcasting board to waive the continuation of her service contract, reports the "Tagesspiegel" and the "Bild" newspaper, among others.
The background to the resignation are allegations of nepotism against the 61-year-old.
It's about lucrative contracts, expensive dinners and a luxury company car.
The director had come under increasing criticism for weeks.
An external investigation is currently underway at a law firm.
Results are not yet available, they are expected in several weeks.
The online medium "Business Insider" got the case rolling at the end of June.
The question is whether the station manager and the station manager Wolf-Dieter Wolf could have treated each other too laxly in the event of a possible collision of interests.
Both rejected allegations.
