Suspended " sine die " by the head of state in mid-March, pension reform remains a highly flammable subject. In an interview with the regional daily press published on July 3, the President of the Republic affirmed that " there would (there would be) no abandonment " of his project of universal system, which he always judges " just Even if he says he is " open " to his reform " being transformed ".
He also wishes to " quickly re-engage in-depth consultation (...) from the summer on (the) aspect of financial balance " and considers that " the question of the number of years during which we contribute remains raised ". " We are in a very complicated situation economically and socially, " said the secretary general of the CFDT, for whom " the priority of priorities must be employment ". " We are not going to get fucked up on the issue of pensions in this period, " he added.
