Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced the suspension of talks between Moscow and Washington on the possibility of holding a joint press conference between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American Joe Biden.

In response to a journalist’s question about whether discussions are continuing between the Russian and American sides about the reasons for the two presidents’ communication with the media after their meeting in Geneva, Peskov said, according to what Russia Today reported: “Full clarity has been reached on this issue, as the American side rejected the idea of ​​holding a conference. A joint journalist, and we have heard President Biden's statements that he prefers to speak privately."

He added, "In turn, President Putin will go out to the media, as we said earlier, and it will be an open, detailed and frank conversation with journalists."

The summit between Putin and Biden will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, tomorrow, and this will be their first meeting since Biden's inauguration as President of the United States at the beginning of this year.
