(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 29 - The Coronavirus emergency has reduced attention to other health-related issues, including those relating to contraception. Bayer therefore chose social media to continue promoting correct information about safe and conscious sexuality to young women.
Thus was born "Girls, what a story", the new Bayer MyContraception campaign that will tell the # storiesdiragazze starting from June, on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the birth of hormonal contraception. Flanked by SIC (Italian Society of Contraception), the Facebook page of "My Contraception Italia" will in fact host a special video contribution from June with the aim of promoting the well-being of women through knowledge and awareness in the contraceptive field. The history of hormonal contraception starts sixty years ago and covers decades of female conquests, intertwining with the stories of women, who have drawn security, strength, autonomy and freedom also thanks to this discovery. A long journey, with an ever-present companion: the gynecologist. "Hormonal contraception is the one that offers the greatest guarantees in terms of safety - says Dr. Franca Fruzzetti, president of the Italian Society of Contraception - But which method? The contraceptive methods include a wide range of solutions very different between them, in terms of the composition of the constituents (natural estrogens and synthesis; different progestin characteristics) and routes of administration (oral, transdermal, vaginal, subcutaneous, intrauterine). The peculiarity of each of these allows the woman to choose the solution ideal for her and that best marries with her needs " ).
