The Brescia Court of Appeal accepted the request for review of the trial presented by Maurizio Tramonte sentenced to life imprisonment for the Piazza Loggia massacre.
There will be a new trial, the sixth.
On 8 July the judges will hear the 70-year-old's sister and wife on the circumstance that Tramonte, unlike what was reported by the anthropometric consultancy that gave him in Piazza Loggia that morning, wore a beard and therefore, as claimed by the defense, was not in the square on the day of the outbreak.
