Cycling from the past. That of the flashes and exuberance of its main protagonists. Subjected and forced to choose a fragmented calendar in 2020, abandoned by the crowd in the mountains as in the last kilometers of a World Cup, the cycling flag bearers have resumed their tour of Europe and the world to offer a captivating soap opera for almost eight months. With the exception of Paris-Roubaix, which had to resolve to become an autumnal classic for a day in hell, the calendar has returned to its initial, optimal form. The peloton went through all the emotions, like the new darling Mathieu Van der Poel, passed from the joy of the feat of the Strade Bianche at the start of the year to tears of fatigue in Roubaix, without forgetting his pride ofhonor the memory of his grandfather Raymond Poulidor on the Grande Boucle. The bodies and minds of these extraordinary athletes were put to the test. And some have resisted more brilliantly than others.
