(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, AUGUST 03 - "The Church has always had difficulties, it always goes through crises, because it is alive: living things enter into crisis. Only the dead do not enter incredi". Pope Francis says this in the video for prayer intentions in August, dedicated to the Church.
The Pope invites us to reform the Church and to make it ever more "missionary". "We begin to reform the Church with a reform of ourselves. Without prefabricated ideas, without ideological prejudices, without rigidity - Pope Francis emphasizes -, but advancing from a spiritual experience, an experience of donation, an experience of charity, an experience I dream of an even more missionary option, which goes to meet theother without proselytism and which transforms all its structures for the evangelization of today's world ".
"The vocation proper to the Church is to evangelize, which does not mean proselytizing, no. The vocation is to evangelize. More: the identity of the Church is to evangelize", concludes the Pope. (ANSA).
