The Asian Basketball Federation announced the postponement of the AFC Men's Asian Cup, which was scheduled in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, next August, to July 20, 2022.

The Federation decided to fix the date of the Women's Asian Cup finals scheduled in the Jordanian capital Amman in the coming months of September and October for the teams of the first division (first level) while the teams of the second division (second level) will play next November.

In turn, the Basketball Association confirmed the participation of our women's team in the second division, which includes the teams of Jordan, Lebanon, Iran, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, while the first division includes the teams of Australia, Japan, China, India, South Korea, New Zealand and Chinese Taipei.

Our men’s team qualified for the Asian finals by defeating Qatar with a score of 67-56 points in the match that brought them together last month in the third and final window of the qualifiers, to occupy second place in Group E in the qualifiers with nine points, ahead of the Saudi team, which is equal in the same balance The qualifiers system stipulates that the first and second place holders from the six groups in the first round qualify directly for the Asian Championship.
