The tricolor left side, who has not played a single official match since August 2021, started this Saturday with Fulham in the Premier League

He is back.

Shelved at PSG, Layvin Kurzawa is lined up this Saturday with Fulham for the reception of Newcastle in the Premier League.

The former Monegasque had not set foot on the pitch since the 2021 Champions Trophy with PSG, lost to Lille in Tel Aviv (1-0).

In Israel, he only played ten minutes at the end of the match and then never wore the Parisian jersey again, neither in Ligue 1, nor in the Cup, nor in the Champions League.

To find traces of a last tenure of Layvin Kurzawa, we must go back to May 2021 and a trip from PSG to the lawn of Rennes (1-1).

Arrived in 2015 from AS Monaco, the native of Fréjus was then one of the great hopes of the tricolor in his position.

Regularly called up for the France team at the time, he totaled 13 selections with the Blues for a goal scored.

But between injuries and fierce competition in the capital, the defender was gradually relegated in the hierarchy to the point of no longer playing at all with PSG.

On the side of Fulham, the 30-year-old is trying to revive a career that has lead in the wing.
