Dortmund (AP) - Jürgen Klopp had informed himself before the planned restart of the Premier League in England at his former club. The former BVB coach "called and asked how the whole thing is organized," said Borussia Dortmund manager Michael Zorc.
Klopp, who looked after BVB from 2008 to 2015, is currently leading the Premier League with Champions League winner FC Liverpool. This wants to continue playing on June 17.
"I also had a conversation with a representative of a top club from Spain," said Zorc, "It was about the question of what the injured situation was like." BVB coach Lucien Favre said: "Colleagues have contacted me. It is not easy to prepare for training in small groups and without duels. My colleagues had questions about that."
Zorc made it clear, however, that league operations in the other leagues can only be started and maintained with a concept and its compliance. "It is important that these leagues use a similar or the same hygiene concept as we do in Germany," he said: "This requires tremendous discipline from the players."
