The meeting was only to last about fifteen minutes. It eventually continued for almost an hour and a half. At the beginning of July, on the sidelines of the International Journalism Festival of Couthures-sur-Garonne (Lot-et-Garonne), Christiane Taubira exchanged one evening, unexpectedly, with three of her supporters. For months, the latter have been trying, through a collective, Taubira for 2022, to impose his candidacy for the presidential election. Very discreet about his ambitions, the former Minister of Justice of François Hollande finally met them. And did not close the door to a candidacy:
"If I campaign, it is to win,"
she assured them. By adding:
"I am not afraid, not afraid of Marine Le Pen"
.
An answer to those who blow, within the PS, that she would not dare to face the candidate of the RN, and especially that she would not assume a possible defeat.
