Claimed by many supporters, the idea of a joint candidacy for 2022 has become, over the months, a kind of wishful thinking on the left. Anne Hidalgo is - almost - unanimous within the PS, Jean-Luc Mélenchon remains the natural candidate at LFI and the Greens have planned to appoint theirs during a primary in September. A collective of activists - all of whom are closely or remotely involved in the struggles for the climate - do not budge and demand a primary of all the left, already baptized "the popular primary".
