Presidential 2022: the senior electorate, the other issue of the ballot

According to a poll, 83% of those over 65 are preparing to vote for a center-right, right-wing or nationalist right-wing candidate.


They hold in their hands one of the keys to the election.

Less than three months before the election, the over 65s remain the electorate that is mobilizing the most.

87% of them plan or are sure to vote next April, according to a recent Elabe poll for BFMTV.

They represent more at the polls than they represent in the population,

points out Mathieu Gallard, director of studies at Ipsos.

For them, voting is a civic duty.

For young people, it's just a right.
