Private equity opens up to small savers

These investments, which were reserved for large investors and wealthy households, are becoming more democratic.


Savers looking for higher returns to keep up with inflation have a new string to their bow.

They now have greater access to private equity funds, which allow them to invest in unlisted French and European SMEs.

These investments, which offer an average of 10 to 15% per year, have long been reserved for institutional investors - insurers, pension funds - or wealthy individuals capable of putting at least 100,000 euros on the table.
