There is no shortage of reasons to encrypt the Golan on these hot days - from the cooling springs, through picking cherries at its peak to artists like Fortisharoff who will perform there next week - but the purple lavender fields are in full swing these days and provide an experience that feels like a minimum in Provence.
Then the lavender blossom in the Golan began, and slowly the fields turned purple.
The visitor centers in Moshav Kanaf and the moshav on the south and north of the Golan (respectively) allow a visit to the fields, where you can get an explanation of the processes of growing lavender and producing various products made from it, and
everything - free of charge.

If you are already on the wing, go and refresh yourself at Ein Deir Aziz (Ein Kanaf), which is a complex of three pools that store the water of the spring, which flows from the place and can be observed from there on Nahal Kanaf.
As part of the accessibility of tourist sites, the Golan Regional Council carried out infrastructure work, as part of which the spring was renovated and made accessible to people with disabilities.
We were also surprised, but this crazy spring is located in the north
right in front of the parking lot of the spring, it is also worth seeing the ancient synagogue "Deir Aziz", which was first built in the 4th century AD, and also underwent a series of excavations and restoration.
How to get there:
From the Kinneret Road (Road 92), go up at the Ma'ale Gamla junction (Road 869) east and after 9 km turn right into Moshav Kanaf. About 100 meters before the moshav gate, turn left on a dirt road and continue for about two kilometers until the parking is arranged. cost.
