PSG - Manchester City: Messi and Verratti are in the group

The PSG coach has called 23 players to face the English club this Tuesday in the group stage of the Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino selected a group of 23 players on Tuesday to face Manchester City, on the second day of the group stage of the Champions League.

There is of course Leo Messi, recovered from his "bone contusion", the one which deprived him of the end of the match against Lyon (2-1), with his spectacular replacement, then meetings in Metz (2-1) and against Montpellier (2-0), all in the league.

To justify his exit, the PSG coach had strangely taken refuge behind the argument of authority and not that of injury.

Leo Messi obviously applies for a starting place in attack with Kylian Mbappé and Neymar while Angel Di Maria remains suspended.

Last season, the winger was sent off in the Champions League semi-final second leg against Manchester City.

Marco Verratti also returns to the group.

However, his presence at the kick-off remains uncertain.

The Italian had injured his knee with his selection.

He has not played since September 2 and a match against Bulgaria (1-1).

In the midfield, Pochettino has many alternative solutions even if Little Owl remains precious and unique to get the ball out.

He should, in all likelihood, develop his team in 4-3-3 as in Bruges where PSG missed its debut in the event with a draw (1-1) tasteless on September 15.

The PSG group: Navas, Donnarumma, Letellier - Marquinhos, Kehrer, Kimpembe, Diallo, Dagba, Hakimi, Mendes, Kurzawa - Danilo, Herrera, Gueye, Dina Ebimbe, Wijnaldum, Verratti, Paredes, Draxler, Messi, Neymar - Mbappé Icardi.
