An indemnity chases the rebate and the calendar is known.
The fuel allowance for low-income workers and heavy commuters will be implemented on October 1.
The rebate of 18 cents will disappear at the end of the year, announced Thursday the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire.
“We are going to replace the 18 centimes which will be reduced to 16, 12, 10. We are going to do this very gradually, but, at the end of the year, there will be no more fuel discounts.
And from October 1, in any case this is the proposal we are making, we are setting up this fuel allowance for workers, ”said the minister on Europe 1.

All it takes is a statement
Regarding funding, the Minister of the Economy intends to use “exceptional tax revenue” for the year.
They are the fruit of a creation of wealth, which makes it possible to carry out a redistribution.
“We have very good corporate tax revenues.
Our businesses are doing well.

To benefit from this fuel allowance, all you need is a declaration.
Bruno Le Maire explains that it will be necessary to go “to the website of the general direction of public finances.
You declare that you have a car, you declare that you use it to go to your place of work and you can receive the allowance”.
He adds that if the distance between home and work is long or if you are a “big wheeler” because of the type of profession exercised, “you will have additional compensation”.
The aim is to “cover almost all the fuel costs” additional due to the increase in oil prices since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.
