Five wins in a row at a World Cup? This is a novelty for the DEB team! So on Tuesday morning there will be a duel against Switzerland for the group win. The Söderholm squad made things unnecessarily exciting against Kazakhstan, who are the only team not to have scored a point at this year's World Cup. Especially in the second third, Ehliz and Co. had the opponent completely under control. But the outsider came back with the goal shortly before the break. In the end, the German success is completely okay.

18 minutes: GOOOOOOOR! This is the lead! Daniel Fischbuch was the quickest to react and scored a rebound in the Kazakh goal - Germany's first lead!
17 minutes: GOOOOOOR! Pföderl responded immediately and equalized again 34 seconds after the lead for Kazakhstan! How spectacular is that here in Helsinki? That was really important!
16 minutes: Goal! Out of nowhere! Pethukov shocks the DEB team and scores to give the outsider a 2-1 lead.

Another five minutes in the first third - and the DEB team has a hand in this game.
Kazakhstan can hardly free itself from the pressure of the Germans.
Only the goal for the lead is still missing for the DEB runner cracks.

After the 9:4 win over Italy on Friday, the DEB team is already firmly in the quarter-finals of the Ice Hockey World Championships in Finland.
The Scandinavians defeated France, which is why Germany can now book the ticket.
Nevertheless, the DEB team wants to score important points against Kazakhstan on Sunday and against Switzerland on Tuesday.
Because Toni Söderholm's team wants to avoid the big chunk in the quarter-finals.
In the round of eight, however, an NHL star is no longer available.
Söderholm seemed eaten.
The national coach obviously did not agree with the decision to withdraw Tim Stützle, who had injured his knee, from the World Cup in Finland at an early stage.

He assumed that the NHL youngster could still have played.
Stützle's premature World Cup exit was announced by the DEB on Sunday after consultation with the medical department and its NHL club Ottawa Senators.
The Senators, who do not want to take any risks with their striker with a view to the coming season, are likely to have had the last word in the talks.
The 20-year-old had shone in 79 games with the Sens this season, scoring 22 goals and providing 36 assists.
DEB sports director Christian Künast therefore commented on the decision much more reservedly than Söderholm: "Tim would not be spared by the opponent in the upcoming games, and his health comes first.
It is therefore logical and consistent to take this precautionary measure.”
Bitter for the DEB team - and bitter for Stützle.
