2022-07-05T19:00:10.622Z

From rail to air via roads, strike calls are multiplying. Employees worry about the consequences of inflation on their purchasing power.

It is a real nightmare for the millions of French people who are about to go on vacation.

Some are finally getting back to traveling normally after two years marked by the Covid.

While this Thursday starts the school holidays, synonymous with the first big departures, calls for strikes are increasing in transport.

Faced with soaring prices and threats to purchasing power, employees in air, rail and road transport have decided to use strong means to try to obtain wage increases.

On the railway front, the CGT, Unsa, Sud and CFDT, the four unions representing SNCF staff, are calling for a national strike.

Result: there will be only one Ouigo out of two on all destinations;

a quarter of inOui TGVs are canceled between Paris and Bordeaux;

one out of five TGVs will not run on the Paris-Lyon-Marseille axis;

one out of two RER B and C lines in the Paris region.
