View of the house from the street (Photo: Shai Epstein) (Photo: Shai Epstein)Azrieli is facing a smooth page: an independent plot empty of structure, rectangular in shape, with an area of 400 square meters with good proportions and a slightly sloping topography from the road towards the back of the plot. " "Thus, we were able to talk about the small details. During their short visits to Israel, we made concentrated and focused choices of materials. And the excellent connection between the professionals selected for the project led to the desired result," says the architect.
The couple wanted a contemporary and advanced home with a feeling of warmth, homeliness and a thought of a garden that is suitable for recreation and hospitality and includes a swimming pool. They further noted that the kitchen is their central space in daily life and therefore it should be spaciously designed, with a large non-sitting seating area with a large front facing outwards.
The house, 3 storeys (basement, ground and first), was designed in the shape of the letter "R" around a swimming pool with large developers facing the garden, taking into account natural light that enters the house throughout the day. Its front is slightly subdued, painted in broken white and has a gray tiled roof bordered by white Goshen wood beams. Their combination with dark-toned aluminum and a prominent perimeter strip between the floors give a sense of depth and interest in the design of the facades.
The house is entered through a path of stepped surfaces of natural stone and low vegetation, and from there to an internal entrance foyer that allows a glimpse into the pool, which has a staircase that divides in shape between the living space and the entrance. Floating stairs made of light-looking oak embrace a central pillar covered with a collection of stones in shades of gray and a minimalist railing of stainless steel cables (ceiling floor). The stairwell crosses the three floors of the house and is characterized by a number of windows along its entire length in order to allow natural light to penetrate the basement floor.
"I tried to hide as many of the various systems in the house as possible, so we chose a VRF air conditioning system with hidden units that were cleverly integrated in carpentry and gypsum ceiling lowering. Lighting design was also based on a minimalist look. Of circuit breakers with different lighting scenarios, "says Azrieli.
For the dining area and in the columns covered between the glass showcases, hanging and wall-mounted light fixtures were chosen to emphasize the space. For the flooring, natural oak parquet was chosen, with wide panels (24 cm) that give a feeling of space.
The living room has a wide front facing the pool with a large exit to the outside, which blurs the difference between outside and inside. A complex carpentry wall has been carefully designed in a modern style in order to integrate the air conditioning system and the audio-video system. To complete the meticulous look, two sofas placed opposite each other with low metal and glass round tables of different heights were chosen.

The ceiling of the room is high (4.5 meters) and exposed Goshen wooden beams that pass through it give the entire space an authentic look. The bed is located in the center of the room and faces the exit to the balcony, behind the bed is designed a wall cabinet with an airy appearance and 5.5 meters long for storing clothes.
(Photo: Shai Epstein)In designing the outdoor space the idea was to produce a continuity of the holiday home feel that is received in the house, with tropical style vegetation that conveys a sense of resort. The plants were chosen inspired by a holiday home that the client stayed in during one of his vacations in Cyprus, and include: tropical trees such as mango tree, palms and more. Along the pool is reflected low and airy vegetation, which was chosen in part because it does not get dirty.
