French car giant Renault chairman Jean Dominique Snard is considering replacing the company's CEO, Thierry Borole, CEO of the French newspaper Figaro (electronic version). Borole has just been promoted to CEO this January. He reportedly aims to renew the system by replacing Mr. Borole, who was the right arm of former chairman Carlos Ghosn.
The board of directors meeting on the 18th of this month will begin discussions to find a replacement.
Mr. Sunar was ordered to improve governance by the largest shareholder, the French government, when he became chairman in January this year. An official said in the paper, “Better or worse, Mr. Borole was shadowed by Mr. Ghosn.” The newspaper reports that it will look for successors in the automotive industry.
