Renewable: Gil Cohen and Noam Humri, the pair of sailors involved, received their new boat in Germany today (Monday).
This is a boat built especially for them for the world championships to be held in Israel this summer in Sdot Yam.
In the coming days, the sailors will transfer the boat that cost 155,000 shekels to Marseille in France, to a preparatory competition in the Gulf that will host the cruise at the 2024 Olympics, and to training with coach Gidi Kliger.
The two, who hold the title of world champions in a mixed model last year, return to sailing after a long recovery period of the Cohen fleet, during which they underwent shoulder surgery.
It should be remembered that in the upcoming Olympics, this will be the first time that a 470 mixed sailboat cruise will take place, having to date only been held by a handful of men and women separately.
