Renovation of wards and shortening of queues: the program to improve the treatment of eating disorders

Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz and Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman agreed today (Thursday) on expanding the treatment of eating disorders - while doubling the number of hospital beds, shortening queues and expanding the number of treatment positions by about 70%.
The cost of the program is estimated at NIS 30 million a year and will apply from January.
According to the outline of the program, the departments and day care centers will be renovated to contribute to the well-being of patients.

40 youth hospital beds will be added to the treatment system, along with an additional 40 positions for day hospitalization in the community.
