It is impossible to argue with the massive success of the Battle Royale of Duty Warzone title, and since it was first released in 2020 it has received regular updates and a devout cast, so it should come as no surprise that Activision will be interested in continuing to ride the success.

A new report from the Bloomberg website indicates that Activision is working on a sequel to be called Warzone 2, and it is expected to be released towards 2023 at the same time as the launch of the regular new game that is released every year.

According to the report, the game will be developed for PC and console generation players only, meaning only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X players will enjoy the new title, which will likely run on a new and improved engine version not necessarily supported by the previous generation of consoles - the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One .

It has also been reported that Warzone 2 will be considered a new game that will stand on its own - meaning players will not be able to transfer the weapons and items they have in their account from previous titles in the series.

No official details have been announced so far, and it is likely that new information will be revealed in the coming months.

It was recently reported that Activision executives are considering stopping releasing a new Voice of Duty game for each year after Vanguard suffered a drop in sales this year, and that the next title of the series will be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2. All of these reports come to us just a week later That Microsoft has begun talks to acquire Activision-Blizzard.
