Two suspects were arrested Wednesday, July 28 at the end of the morning on a motorway rest area in Moselle, the day after the robbery of a Chaumet jewelry store in Paris, and a substantial part of the loot was found in their possession, learned the AFP with the Paris prosecutor's office and police source.

The robbery took place Tuesday afternoon in a boutique of the prestigious jeweler Chaumet, near the Champs-Élysées.
A man, who came on a scooter, had burst into the store around 5:00 p.m. with a handgun and had jewelry and precious stones returned, without violence, before also setting off on a scooter, for a booty estimated between 2 and 3 million euros.
