A man known for acts of banditry was discovered shot dead Monday evening in a park in Roubaix (North) and an investigation opened for "
homicide
", we learned from corroborating sources.

At around 8:00 p.m., the police discovered the 53-year-old man dead, hit by several projectiles from a firearm, according to a source close to the investigation.
Originally from the North but who had lived in Isère for several years, he had a criminal record in the North for banditry, said the same source.

The park where the body was discovered is known to be a place of homosexual encounters but the track of homophobic crime is "
