Director of the Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Yermakov stressed that the facts obtained during the Russian special military operation in Ukraine prove that military biological activities in Ukraine were carried out with the support of the US Department of Defense, the Pentagon, in contravention of Articles 1 and 4 of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons.

"The United States and its allies must provide comprehensive documentation of their military biological activity in Ukraine and return to compliance with the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons," TASS quoted Yermakov as saying.

With regard to the Russian-American dialogue on strategic stability, Yermakov indicated that it will be possible to return to the discussion of this issue after the completion of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine and a complete solution to the relevant tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Regarding the Russian superiority in developing hypersonic weapons, Yermakov stressed that the United States has tried for years to catch up with Russia in the development of hypersonic systems, but we were able to secure ourselves by defeating the US global missile defense system and maintaining strategic stability.

Earlier, Yermakov considered that it was not possible to see prospects for a Russian-American dialogue on strategic stability at the present time, pointing out that the United States was the one who froze this dialogue.
