Russia's Special Presidential Envoy to Afghanistan and Director of the Second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zamir Kabulov today expressed Russia's concern about the possibility of the terrorist organization (ISIS) strengthening its positions and strength in northern Afghanistan.

"We are mainly concerned about the possibility of strengthening (ISIS) and similar international terrorist groups that exploit chaos to strengthen their positions in northern Afghanistan and work to destabilize the security and stability of Central Asian countries," TASS news agency quoted Kabulov as saying.

Kabulov pointed out that the extremist Taliban movement and the terrorist organization (ISIS) are aggression and the fighting between them is fierce to control the areas, and therefore the more each of them kills elements from the opposite side, the better the situation.

On the 22nd of this month, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko warned against terrorist organizations strengthening their presence in northern Afghanistan, explaining that the northern provinces of Afghanistan are rapidly turning into new hot spots as a result of the hasty withdrawal of US forces, where the banned Taliban movement in Russia controls The entire border with Tajikistan,” he added, adding that many other terrorist organizations, especially ISIS and al-Qaeda terrorist branches, are working to strengthen their positions.
