The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the misleading news circulated by the American media about the Zaporozhye nuclear plant is a new Western attempt to whitewash the Kyiv regime and attribute its crimes to Russia.
This came in a statement of the ministry in response to articles in the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post about the situation at the Zaporozhye station, which claimed, based on the statements of the Ukrainian Interior Minister, that “when the station is in the hands of unqualified specialists, a catastrophic scenario is inevitable.”
The ministry said: "The American media pawns do not miss any opportunity to spread misinformation against Russia, this time about the Zaporozhye plant," noting that the two newspapers did not mention the real reason for the failure of the visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission headed by Rafael Grossi to the station, and they also repeated without thinking the lie. The absurdity of the Kyiv regime that Russian forces deliberately bombed the infrastructure of the station.
"It is clear that the Western Kyiv sponsors do not want the international community to see the true face of the Ukrainian armed groups and watch the barbaric crimes of extremists," the ministry added, noting that the Russian side called on international experts to conduct a transparent investigation into what surrounds the Zaporozhye nuclear plant.
The ministry confirmed that the Russian forces placed the station under strict guard to prevent provocations by the Nazi battalions, explaining that only people who are mentally confused with Russian phobia can assume that the Russian army will strike a nuclear site where its members are stationed.
