The head of the Russian Gamalia Center for Microbiology, Alexander Ginsburg, announced that the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine protects against all currently known types of the emerging corona virus, especially the “Delta” strain.
The RIA Novosti news agency quoted Ginsburg as saying today: "The Indian strain shortens the time needed to transition from mild symptoms to severe forms of the disease, and thus this strain reduces the time for the possible emergence of antibodies specific to the infected person's body."
Last year, Russia announced the production of the “Sputnik V” vaccine against Corona, and many countries in the world purchased large quantities of it.
