The Russian Federal Security Service announced today the arrest of members of a terrorist cell in the center of the country.
The TASS news agency quoted the Russian security service as saying in a statement that 14 members of the cell were arrested during an operation carried out with the support of the Ministry of the Interior and spread to several locations in the center of the country, noting that millions of dollars and cars, in addition to computers, were confiscated.
The statement added that the cell had developed software, stole and disbursed funds from the bank accounts of foreign citizens, adding that all members of the cell had been identified and their involvement in illegal currency trade was proven and their criminal activities documented.
Yesterday, the Federal Security Service announced that it had thwarted the activity of a terrorist cell in the central Ivanovo region and arrested seven of its members.
