The Russian Federal Security Service announced today the seizure of a terrorist cell in Crimea.
"The activities of a cell belonging to an international terrorist organization banned in Russia were suppressed, and two leaders of the cell and three of its active participants were arrested," said a statement issued today by the agency and reported by Sputnik.
In turn, the Russian Interior Ministry said that the members of this cell "carried out anti-constitutional activities and were seeking to destroy the institutions of society with the aim of violently overthrowing the current government."
The Russian security continues its operations to pursue and arrest terrorist cells, as it arrested on the ninth of last July a terrorist who planned to carry out an explosion in a security facility by order of an international terrorist organization.
