Originally from Tuscany, Dominique Rondini opened in 1927 his shop "Rondini bottier, custom shoes & repairs of all kinds". Everything here is still handcrafted in the family workshop adjacent to the shop. Impossible to walk in the streets of Saint-Tropez without wearing a pair of espadrilles! After a long experience in the textile industry for mass distribution, Nicolas Hanniet arrived in Saint-Tropez with his wife and in 2011 created the label L'espadrille tropézienne. Objective: to dust off this popular summer shoe with noble materials, genuine leathers and trendy and modern prints. Made in their two French and Spanish workshops with natural jute and leathers from the Carriat tanneries in the Basque Country and Tuscania in Italy, their espadrilles are hand-sewn with respect for tradition and artisanal know-how. The brand is increasing its collaborations (patterns created by Italian artist Laura Coppolino, fabrics from Armor Lux and tweeds from Malhia Kent), and offers a customization service within 48 hours. For nearly 100 years, the red tables and chairs of Sénéquier have dominated the port of Saint-Tropez. Popularized by Colette and Brigitte Bardot, before Jacques Chirac and Johnny Hallyday sit there every summer in front of a flood of curious onlookers, this mythical terrace is one of the main attractions of the village. The story begins in 1963 on the Saint-Tropez market. Marinette and Joe de Santis, originally from Marseille, offer every week on their stand in the Place des Lices fabrics by the meter and linens. In 1997, at the instigation of their son Alfred, the house offered its first boutique on rue Georges Clemenceau. Towels, tea towels, mattress covers, sheets… Les Tissus Marinette is gradually setting up a clothing workshop where curtains, tablecloths and custom towels are produced in record time. In the 2000s, the brand continued its development by opening three new stores, one specializing in tableware, the other in home fragrances and the last in furniture.
