After a leisurely start, SC Riessersee sweeps past Landsberg.

In the end, the SCR celebrates its first win of the season in the Oberliga Süd against Landsberger, who was completely overwhelmed in the end - 8:1.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen –

The goal of SC Riessersee before the home game against HC Landsberg on Friday evening was: to make the two bankruptcies at the beginning of the season forgotten.

This was excellent because the SCR found its game after a leisurely start and the opponent was a grateful one that evening.

The Riesserseer were able to celebrate a clear 8:1 victory.

It has to be quick

Right from the start, the row with Kevin Slezak, Robin Soudek and Lubor Dibelka was fun, but not the 1-0.

But she showed straight away how it works against a deep and compact Landsberger: fast and direct.

Tobias Kircher and Simon Mayr also tried that, but Christopher Chyzowski's goalie steered Landsberg's goalie onto his own goal net.

When things went quickly a third time, it was then 1-0 for the hosts.

Outnumbered, Ryker served Killins with a sharp pass through the opponent's legs to Alexander Höller, who dropped it directly to Luca Allavena in the box.

Now everyone in the Olympic ice sports center had actually seen how Landsberg was to be cracked, but also the HC itself. They then tightened the defense network even further and the SCR found no more gaps, but also played too statically well into the second third.

First problems, then the node bursts at the SCR

But as soon as the pace went from back to front again, gaps opened up again.

Höller put in the path of Lukas Koziol, who remained ice cold in front of the goal – 2:0.

A little later, Uli Maurer probably thought to himself: I may not be good at the target, but I have a clear shot.

Deducted, Höller kept the bat clean, 3:0.

The preliminary decision?

The Riesserseer thought, they weren't paying attention for a moment, when Adriano Carciola was already up and away and shortened for Landsberg.

The comfortable three-goal lead was quickly restored, however, because the guests on the other side completely lost sight of Jan-Niklas Pietsch.

But not Slezak, who served Pietsch and the SCR defender had plenty of time to make it 4-1 for Riessersee.

Eight different Riesserseer goal scorers

Significant deficit before the final third: You should actually expect a storm run from the guests.

But that didn't happen.

On the other hand, the Landsbergers stayed true to their line and defended with man and mouse.

Worked quite well until six and a half minutes before the end.

But then – how could it be otherwise this evening – Pietsch ignited the turbo on the flank and saw Maurer in the middle.

The fans were still celebrating the 5:1 in the stands, when it was already 6:1, this time Slezak was the executor.

Now the resistance of the guests was completely broken and the people of Garmisch-Partenkirch still wanted more.

Goal number seven went to Chyzowski, number eight to Soudek - with the help of an ice skate from his opponent.

Then the final siren had mercy on the guests and redeemed them with its sound.

At the same time, she ended a performance by the Riesserseer that made you want more.

Things got off to a leisurely start, which was certainly also due to the unsuccessful start to the season.

"But then we improved from minute to minute," emphasized assistant coach Anton Raubal at the press conference.

The offensive was able to shine that evening - eight different goalscorers - the defense, which was vulnerable in the first two games (eleven goals conceded), was stable.

But to be fair, one has to say that weak Landsbergers weren't really a challenge for the defense that evening.

Two goodbyes and a question mark

In the end, Raubal was able to calm down head coach Pat Cortina, who was in Canada.

"Pat, you don't have to worry, we have everything under control here."
