Thanks to his home strength, VfB Stuttgart has improved to second place in the second Bundesliga at the end of matchday five. Against VfL Bochum won the VfB 2: 1 (1: 1) and gave the guests in the first game after the separation of coach Robin Dutt the next damper. Daniel Didavi (19th minute) and Nicolas Gonzalez (48th) scored for the third VfB victory in the third home game of the season. Silvere Ganvoula (40th) scored the only goal for VfL.

Overweight in possession, more speed and more offensive actions - the VfB was from the beginning the game-determining team, but also made weaknesses in the defense. The guests from Bochum were dangerous thanks to the fast Ganvoula, twice awarded the newcomer Bochumer great opportunities before he met for the interim equalizer. But then changed VfB coach Tim Walter striker Gonzalez, who scored the winning goal directly.

With eleven points, VfB are now two points behind leaders Hamburger SV in second place. For the still winless VfL is with two points and the penultimate place in the table the false start perfect.
