The SE Freising is against the TSV Kastl outsider.

In addition, the personnel options for the start of the regional league are very limited.

Freising

- It's getting serious again, on Saturday (3 p.m.) the SE Freising footballers start their home game against TSV Kastl in the regional league southeast.

If everything goes well, there are 34 season games that should be tough for the partially redesigned SEF.

The opening program is robust.

Why exactly that could be an advantage, what personnel problems are currently plaguing the Freising, and what the means of choice could be against an upgraded guest from the Inn Valley, said trainer Alex Plabst in an FT interview.

You haven't coached a competitive game in nine months.

Will it even keep you in the dugout on Saturday?

Nothing has changed in my behavior during the Corona period.

I think I'll be as calm as ever.

And I haven't just been doing the coaching job for a few weeks.

We're also right back in the thick of it, we've already had a few preparatory games.

SE Freising can look forward to a tough kick-off program with Kastl, Erlbach, Grünwald and Unterföhring.

Why could it even be better to play against the favorites right from the start?

Last season we were favored against many teams, but now we had a certain cut.

Now we're playing against four teams at the beginning, which I count among the absolute favorites for promotion.

Given our overall situation, we have to make sure that we get in well.

Against all four opponents, we are the outsider.

Of course, we could benefit from playing against such teams right from the start.

A newcomer, for example, still takes the momentum of a new beginning with him - that would certainly not be easy to play.

At the beginning it's against Kastl, among other things with ex-professional Marius Duhnke as a newcomer, who has already played for Unterhaching in the 3rd division.

What can you expect?

I expect Kastl to be at the top in the end.

I'm also a big fan of playmaker Sebastian Spinner, and Dominik Grothe, Leonhard Thiel and Timo Pagler are three great players in a really good team.

If we get a draw, that would be really good for us.

We won't get a lot of scoring chances, so we should take advantage of them.

We shouldn't fall behind.

There are currently numerous injuries.

So does the team set itself up on its own?

We'll have problems in the first few weeks, yes.

The exciting question will already be on Saturday: How do we replace the players who have left us?

We will receive the first answers to that.

What hurts us brutally is that Vitus Kirchberger and Andreas Hohlenburger are missing two experienced players.

At least the Hohli could at least be in the squad.

After many months there is another competitive game.

What criteria do you use as a trainer to decide on the line-up?

After all, everyone will want to play in shape.

That depends on who is available: Andi Manhart has just received the second vaccination, Flo Bittner is in a bad state.

I can only decide that shortly before the game.

I don't have that many options at the moment.

What will be the method of choice against Kastl?

I won't move around a lot.

But we learned lessons from our last friendly against Dachau 65: We can't afford to make so many mistakes in the forward movement.

We also have to be better sorted and we can't be so open at the back when the opponent has the ball.

In general, we shouldn't allow ourselves to make a lot of mistakes against Kastl.
